The new BMW M2 Highlights

The new BMW M2 offers M-typical performance in a particularly concentrated form. With a 338 kW/460 hp straight-six engine, an optionally available 6-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive, the second generation of the compact high-performance sports car conveys pure driving pleasure. The debut of the new BMW M2 is a further highlight of the model offensive to mark the anniversary of BMW M GmbH, which has been in existence for 50 years and thus makes entry into the world of its high-performance cars even more attractive. Compact dimensions combined with drive and chassis technology adapted from the BMW M3/BMW M4 series characterize the vehicle concept, which helps the new edition of the two-door car to achieve fascinating agility and handling characteristics that are playfully controllable right up to the limits. This unique characteristic is also reflected in the expressive exterior design with athletic coupe proportions. In addition, the modern control concept for individualizing the setup enables a particularly intense performance experience. With these qualities, the new BMW M2 continues the tradition of outstandingly sporty models with compact dimensions established in 1973 with the BMW 2002 turbo. At the same time, it continues the success story of its predecessor, which sold almost 60,000 units worldwide. The global market launch of the new BMW M2 will begin in April 2023. It will be produced together with the new BMW 2 Series Coupé at the BMW Group Plant San Luis Potosí in Mexico.
