Clear the stage for the new Lexus RX: In its fifth generation, the premium SUV is more electrifying than ever. In addition to two full hybrids, including the first turbo hybrid, the new edition also comes as a plug-in hybrid. The Lexus RX 450h+: 1.1 l/100km, CO2 emissions: 25 g/km, electric range (EAER): up to 68 km, electric range combined the best of both worlds. Lexus began electrifying its premium vehicles 17 years ago now. This long-standing expertise now culminates in the Lexus RX 450h+. The combination of combustion engine and electric motor ensures high efficiency and powerful, responsive performance. With a system output of 227 kW (309 hp), the vehicle accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds. Fuel consumption is just 1.1 liters per 100 kilometers, corresponding to CO2 emissions of 25 g/km. The externally rechargeable plug-in hybrid even covers up to 90 kilometers (WLTP) in purely electric mode and thus with zero local emissions. Hybrid instead of pure combustion engine With the Lexus plug-in hybrid system, the RX 450h+ has a decisive advantage over its competitors: When the battery is empty, the vehicle seamlessly switches to self-charging hybrid mode - offering its high fuel and emissions efficiency with excellent range. This sets the Lexus system apart from those of most other manufacturers, which switch to the combustion engine alone when the battery is empty.
