The BMW iX is ready for series production and is due to arrive on the world’s roads from November 2021. The BMW Group’s new technology flagship combines locally emission-free driving pleasure, sporting agility and a compelling operating range with a character profile dedicated squarely to sustainability. With its trailblazing design and an interior devoted to luxurious spaciousness, the BMW iX embodies a fresh new take on the Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) concept. Conceived from the outset for purely electric mobility, this model is based on a new toolkit for the future, whose vast potential for innovations in the areas of automated driving, operation, connectivity and digital services translates into a premium mobility experience unparalleled in this segment.
The new Porsche 911 Turbo Design in Racing Yellow
The Porsche 911 Turbo has been the quintessential high-performance sports car with everyday usability for the past 45 years. Following the market launch of the 911 Turbo S, the next generation 911 Turbo Coupé and Cabriolet are now being introduced – even more powerful, even faster and even more individual. Thanks to their 427 kW (580 PS) engines, 30 kW (40 PS) more than their predecessors, both model variants dip under the magic three second 0-100 km/h mark with a time of 2.8 seconds (0.2 seconds faster). 750 newton metres of torque (up 40 Nm), now without an overboost time limit, make quick sprints even more spontaneous and effortless. Acceleration, power output and torque of the new 911 Turbo therefore all match those of the previous generation 911 Turbo S. Power transmission is performed by an eight-speed PDK gearbox with a Turbo-specific set-up while its top speed remains unchanged at 320 km/h. Options such as the Sports and Lightweight Design packages, sports chassis and sports exhaust system are available for the 911 Turbo for the first time. As a result, customers will be able to adapt their vehicle even more to their individual tastes.
The new GLC is immediately recognisable as a member of the Mercedes-Benz SUV family. Standard equipment includes the AVANTGARDE exterior with Chrome package including chrome window surrounds and a new, chrome-look simulated underguard. This adds striking design features and enhances the unique proportions of the vehicle. One of the defining design highlights of the GLC is the redesigned front end, with headlamps that connect directly to the radiator grille to emphasise the vehicle’s width, and the new radiator grille as part of the standard AVANTGARDE exterior, which now has a chrome surround and a sporty louvre in matt grey with chrome trim. The AMG Line has a radiator grille with Mercedes-Benz pattern. The body design is characterised by a full, spanned surface design enriched with precisely shaped edges in the sides. These emphasise the proportions, accentuate the muscular wheel arches and create a balance between elegance and off-road performance. Wheel arch liners in the vehicle colour are available from the AMG Line upwards for the first time. These accentuate the sportiness of the AMG Line, as optional equipment in conjunction with mixed tyres. Also available as an optional extra are easy-entry running boards and, from the AMG Line upwards, a Night package.
Casa 500 is a new exhibition space forming part of the museum complex at the Pinacoteca Agnelli, chaired by Ginevra Elkann. An immersive itinerary covering over 700 m2, it plays on memories, emotions and dreams to trace the culture and history of a country and a city, intertwined with the history of the 500. Much more than an automobile museum, Casa 500 tells the future of the FIAT brand, starting from its roots; ones that are indeed the inspiration for the future. The common thread is the ‘metamorphosis’ of the FIAT 500 across its three generations, a model that has made history in the automotive industry and has always inspired new ways of thinking and living. An icon of our times whose evolution conveys the culture of a country and the history of its city. Located on the 4th floor of the Pinacoteca Agnelli and directly overlooking the Lingotto track, Casa 500 is an open exhibition space, bathed in light and is connected to the track on all four sides by its large windows. Casa 500 is also a place where respect for the environment is the mantra that inspired the creation of all the spaces and materials, chosen for the installations that follow the principle summarized in the concept of “Reuse, Reduce, Recycle”: recycled wood for the tables, platforms and doors; panels that absorb the volatile components of the air; reused furniture or products with plastics recovered from the sea, like the rear seats in Seaqual® yarn; and eco-friendly, antibacterial paints. The Casa 500 exhibition is set out around a highly symbolic central tree, also made of recycled wood. A tree that represents the continuity of history, between the roots – the past – and the future. At the foot of the tree, the mask of the legendary 1957 Fiat 500 and a New (500)RED, the latest addition to the New 500 line-up.
