The Factory 56 - Focus on people

"Social and corporate responsibility as an employer is also reflected in the Factory 56 itself. The entire digital concept focuses on people. After a successful start-up, a total of more than 1,500 employees work in two shifts at Factory 56. They will be supported in their daily work by numerous innovations. Work on the assembly line is designed to support employees in their desire for a healthy life balance. Around 35,000 people are employed at the entire site. Mercedes-Benz involved the employees in Factory 56 wherever possible from the very beginning: For example, production employees were asked about their personal preferences in an online survey. They were able to indicate in which shift, in which hall and with which colleagues they would like to work. The participation of the employees was very high, more than 85 % of the expressed wishes could be realized".
