Many designs and different qualities - the selection of fabrics at the Heimtextil trade fair is unmanageably large. The most important trend, however, is actually completely invisible. Sustainability. The manufacturers of comforters, towels, curtains and pillowcases pay particular attention to sustainable production. Cotton consumes too much water, synthetic fibers are traditionally made from crude oil and later turn into microplastics or mattresses are glued together in such a way that recycling is practically impossible. All of this can be done differently today - if the customer wants it. In Europe, between 9.5 and 10 billion euros are spent on household and home textiles every year.
