The new BMW M2 - Performance experience of choice

As standard, drive torque is transmitted to the rear wheels via an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic. Its particularly high shifting dynamics, its direct connection to the engine and the possibility of multiple downshifts down to the lowest drivable gear create ideal conditions for fascinatingly spontaneous acceleration maneuvers. It is operated via a gear selector in the latest M design and shift paddles on the steering wheel. The Drivelogic provides a choice of three shift programs. For a classic-style performance experience with particularly intensive interaction between driver and vehicle, a 6-speed manual transmission is available as an option. It supports a sporty driving style not only with precisely defined shift travel, but also with a shift assistant whose connection speed control ensures slip-free clutch engagement after downshifting when braking before corners. If required, the shift assistant can be deactivated in the M Setup menu.
