Porsche Taycan 4S - third version of the electric sports car

Following the Taycan Turbo S and Taycan Turbo, the Taycan 4S represents the new entry into the e-model range. A single-stack performance battery with a gross capacity of 79.2 kWh is fitted as standard. The two-story Performance Battery Plus familiar from the Taycan Turbo S and Taycan Turbo is available as an option. Its gross capacity is 93.4 kWh. Power and range vary accordingly: with the Performance battery, the Taycan 4S reaches up to 390 kW (530 hp) of overboost power. Equipped with the Performance Battery Plus, it produces up to 420 kW (571 hp). In both variants, the Taycan 4S accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds. The top speed is also a uniform 250 km/h. The range is up to 407 kilometers with Performance Battery and up to 463 kilometers with Performance Battery Plus (both according to WLTP). The maximum charging power (peak) is 225 kW (performance battery) or 270 kW (performance battery plus). Breathtaking acceleration, typical sports car pulling power and superior, permanently available performance - the new 4S also possesses these strengths of the Taycan. With an active length of 130 millimeters, the permanently excited synchronous machine on the rear axle is exactly 80 millimeters shorter than the corresponding drive components of the Taycan Turbo S and Taycan Turbo. With two permanently excited synchronous machines on the front and rear axles, i.e. all-wheel drive, and a two-speed transmission on the rear axle, the 4S has the key technical highlights of its model brothers in terms of drive architecture. The same applies to the intelligent charging management system and the exemplary aerodynamics. With a cw value from 0.22, it makes a decisive contribution to low energy consumption and thus a long range."
