Costa Rica: Removal of Covid-19 entry requirements

Source: Flying Media (Glomex)

Entry to Costa Rica has already been possible for tourists from all countries of the world since August 2020. Effective April 1, 2022, all temporary entry requirements introduced under the national health emergency due to COVID-19 will now be lifted. This will eliminate the requirement to complete the epidemiological form known as a "health passport." It also eliminates the requirement for unvaccinated foreigners to obtain health insurance abroad. All facilities such as hotels and restaurants, activities and events can be used at 100% capacity. Capacity restrictions due to COVID-19 are thus eliminated. Mandatory use of masks, hand washing, and adherence to health protocols for any tourist activity will be adhered to in order to continue to protect locals and visitors. Tourists are encouraged to follow the hygiene rules established by private companies for all tourist activities in the country during their stay in Costa Rica.
