Absa Cape Epic 2021 - Stage 5: German duo Martin Frey and Simon Stiebjahn take second place, Sina Frei / Laura Stigger remain undefeated

Hans Becking and Jose Dias of Team Buff Scott MTB were able to repeat their triumph of the previous day in today's 5th stage in Wellington. Martin Frey and Simon Stiebjahn (BULLS 2) finished second, ahead of overall leaders Matt Beers and Jordan Sarrou (NinetyOne-songo-Specialized). In the women's race, it was again Sina Frei and Laura Stigger (NinetyOne-songo-Specialized) who completed a perfect race and took their sixth consecutive victory. Candice Lill and her South African colleague Mariske Strauss finished second, 1 minute 43 seconds behind, followed by Team Salusmed with the duo Ariane Lüthi and Robyn de Groot.
