Fire in Residential Building

Rudersberg (pol) - A fire broke out in the basement of a single-family house on Hofackerweg on Thursday morning, presumably due to a technical defect. Shortly before 10:30 a.m., the resident informed the emergency services about the fire. The fire departments of Schorndorf, Fellbach, and Rudersberg arrived on site with nine vehicles and 45 emergency personnel and extinguished the fire. The two residents of the house were taken to a hospital with suspected smoke gas intoxication. The house is currently uninhabitable, and the estimated damage amounts to 350,000 euros.
