Tragedy at family celebration: girl (4) fell into lake and drowned

The toddler was last seen at a boathouse at the Klempowsee and could not be found. Thereupon the control center in potsdam released large alarm at rescue forces. Several fire department units from the surrounding area were requested, as well as rescue divers from Rathenow and Postdam, a rescue helicopter and the police with sniffer dogs. A total of around 90 emergency personnel were deployed, according to the latest information. The water rescue is in cooperation with the fire department with several boats on the Klempowsee and searched for the missing girl. Among other things, the fire department used a thermal imaging camera to track down the toddler, with the help of divers, but without success. A rescue helicopter also circled the scene. A call went out, while in Facebook, for people to meet in one place to help in the search for the girl. At 20:36 came the sad certainty that the child could only be recovered dead. The child was found under a jetty near the boathouse. Numerous relatives and citizens came to the scene of the accident and had to be cared for by several emergency chaplains. It was also a visible shock for the rescue forces. A follow-up team was also on standby for the rescue forces, which they called upon. The lifeless four-year-old was seized by the prosecutor's office and taken to internal medicine for further examination.
