Reform of psychotherapy training

Psychotherapy training is to be transferred to public universities in future; from 2026, up to 500 Master's places are to be offered regionally across Austria each year. This is provided for in an amendment to the Psychotherapy Act. The aim of the reform is to significantly expand the range of psychotherapy on offer and make access to training more affordable.
