The fifth and final day of the Copa Kitley Qatar Airways GKA Kite-Surf and Hydrofoil World Cup in Taiba, Brazil was one that Frenchman Charles Brodel dominated with his unparalleled and innovative riding style to secure his second consecutive world title. On the final day of the event in Taiba, conditions couldn't have been better for the hydrofoil freestyle riders. The special boards, which have almost no resistance in the water, allow the riders to perform incredible tricks even in light winds. Frenchman Charles Brodel dominated the competition as he did at the last World Cups and showed from the first second on that he would not make it easy for the other riders in the fight for the world champion title. With a trick that had never been shown in a competition before, the Frenchman catapulted himself to 1st place in Taiba and thus secured the World Champion title ahead of Alex Soto (BRA) and Maxime Chabloz (SUI).
