Exercising can have a positive impact on health. But when is the best time for a workout? According to a study from Australia, there are optimal times for it. The research, conducted by Dr. Angelo Sabag from the University of Sydney, looked at how the timing of physical activities affects health. The study used data from about 30,000 overweight individuals. Their activity patterns were tracked using wearable devices. The results show that exercising in the evening, especially after 6 p.m., can significantly reduce the risk of heart attack. Individuals who engaged in endurance sports like running or power walking between 6 p.m. and midnight had the lowest risk of premature death and death from cardiovascular diseases. These findings could mean that the right timing of physical activity has a significant impact on health. However, researchers like Prof. Emmanuel Stamatakis emphasize that further investigations are needed to understand precise causal relationships. This could lead to improved time-based exercise recommendations for treating obesity and type 2 diabetes.
