Prof. Justus Gille explains in the video the injuries of the lateral ligaments of the knee. A collateral ligament injury is often caused by sports accidents. The lateral ligaments of the knee joint can be partially (partial rupture) or completely (total rupture) torn by a lateral force acting on the knee or by twisting. The inner ligament is affected much more frequently than the outer ligament.
