Brewers warn of shortage of beer bottles in summer

In summer, beer brewers in Germany fear a shortage of bottles. According to the chief executive of the German Brewers' Association, Holger Eichele, bottlenecks can be seen in the summer at the latest. The reason for this, he said, is the sharp rise in bottle production costs. The situation is "extremely tense". Because of the shortage of truck drivers, it is becoming more difficult in the logistics industry to maintain supply chains, he said.
