Roof truss catches fire in Kaufbeuren - firefighters can prevent further spread

In the night from Saturday to Sunday, the roof truss of an apartment building caught fire in Kaufbeuren. According to the police, passers-by and residents had noticed a smoke development and open flames from the attic around 22:10. Accordingly, the fire departments from Kaufbeuren and Neugablonz could prevent a further spread of the flames. Persons were not hurt with the fire fortunately. The police estimate the damage to at least 50,000 euros. The cause of the fire is currently still unclear.
