Its agility is thanks to the 132 kW (180 hp) strong Seltos 1.6 T-GDI, which provides a maximum torque of 265 Nm over a wide speed range from 1,600 to 4,500 revolutions. The front-wheel-drive automatic model accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 8.8 seconds (AWD: 9.0 seconds; 2WD with manual transmission: 9.2 seconds) and reaches a top speed of 208 kilometers per hour (AWD: 205 km/h; 2WD with manual transmission: 200 km/h). The compact SUV also proves to be powerful when towing trailers: All drive variants can tow braked trailers weighing up to 1.3 tons (unbraked 750 kg). The Seltos Hybrid, to be introduced by the end of 2026, will also be available with front and all-wheel drive. As the first Kia, it will be equipped with the new e-AWD system of the Hyundai Motor Group, to which Kia belongs. In this all-wheel-drive system, the rear wheels are driven by an electric motor, enabling particularly precise torque distribution, optimized traction, and increased stability. Additionally, the electrified version of the SUV will be the first hybrid model of the Hyundai Motor Group to feature the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function and will therefore be available with a 230-volt socket.
