At the world premiere, Volkswagen presents the first photos and facts of the completely newly developed Passat. The focus is on powerful aerodynamic design, new efficiency drives, high quality and a host of new technologies. The car will be presented to the public for the first time in just a few days at the IAA Mobility in Munich (05.-09.09.2023). The new Passat will be launched on the market in the first quarter of 2024 as an all-purpose estate. With more than 34 million units sold, the Passat is the best-selling VW model of all time after the Golf and ahead of the Beetle. The design is clean and powerful - clearly Passat, clearly VW and yet new from every perspective. Efficient is the customer-oriented range of three new plug-in and mild hybrid drives as well as five turbo petrol and turbo diesel variants. The quiet, spacious Passat Estate, which will be available with an optional new adaptive chassis ("DCC Pro") and new ergoActive seats (with pneumatic pressure point massage), is extremely comfortable. The intuitive features of the digitalized cockpit landscape have been completely redeveloped. If desired, the new Passat can also park itself and cover long distances with assistance.
Whether it's for a large nuclear family or a small extended family: as a seven-seater, the new EQB offers space for many family configurations and a wide variety of transport needs. This gives it an exceptional position among compact electric cars. The two seats in the third row can be used by people up to 1.65 metres tall, and child seats can also be fitted there. The new EQB will launch in Europe and China at the end of the year, followed by the US market launch in 2022. After the EQA, it is already the second all-electric compact car from Mercedes-EQ. The powerful and efficient electric drive, clever recuperation and predictive Navigation with Electric Intelligence are just some of the features that link it to the EQA.
Safety and customer satisfaction come first at Audi. They are part and parcel of the success of the company with the four rings. In that context, light technology is steadily growing more important and creating a wider range of possibilities and perspectives, from added safety for the driver, to external communication and individualization. Systematic light digitization is making all of this possible. It is particularly visible in the new Audi A8: the forward-looking Digital Matrix LED headlights and digital OLED rear lights raise the customer experience to a whole new level: for the first time in any Audi model, light is completely digitized. The car can be individualized even further through its digital OLED rear lights. The Digital Matrix LED headlights also include three new functions: advanced traffic information, a lane light with direction indicator lights on highways, and an orientation light on country roads. These features not only demonstrate Audi’s “Vorsprung durch Technik,” they also add value.
