Few days before the premiere of Lamborghini's first V12 hybrid super sports car, the company gives a first glimpse into the driving dynamics capabilities of the High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV). The new vehicle - project designation LB744 - was developed with the aim of conveying maximum control and maximum driving pleasure in all situations and on any surface. The driver feels connected to the vehicle in a way never experienced before because the tuning of the new model instills extreme confidence. Lamborghini's new hybrid super sports car immediately takes the lead in the segment with a variety of innovations: it benefits from a very balanced tuning, a state-of-the-art body shell, advanced aerodynamics, and a hybrid drive that maximizes the potential of the coupled electric motors. In addition, there are 13 driving modes to choose from, including an emissions-free all-wheel-drive mode. The car stands out for its unique layout: V12 naturally aspirated engine with 6.5 liters of displacement in a mid-engine position, three electric motors, two of which are installed on the purely electrically driven front axle (E-axle) and one integrated directly into the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. For the first time, the transmission is mounted transversely behind the V12. The center tunnel, which has been the location for the transmission since the days of the Countach, now houses the new powerful lithium-ion battery that supplies energy to the electric motors.
