Volkswagen ID.4 Pro 4MOTION - Chassis

The ID.4 Pro 4MOTION is a comfortable all-rounder that is easy and effortless to drive. Its large 77-kWh battery, located under the passenger cell between the axles, shifts the center of gravity downward and enables balanced distribution of axle loads. The front axle follows the classic McPherson design, and the steering is balanced-direct ratio. A compact five-link suspension operates in the rear, absorbing and processing the acting longitudinal and lateral forces separately. Up to five driving profiles. Drivers can decide for themselves how comfortable, stable or sporty the ID.4 Pro 4MOTION should be - with the driving profile selection (standard). It accesses the progressive steering, the electric motors and the DCC adaptive chassis control (in the optional "Plus" sports package) and provides a choice of up to five modes: Eco, Comfort, Sport, Individual (in the "Plus" sports package) and Traction. Eco mode is geared toward efficient driving, while Comfort mode is designed for high ride comfort. In Sport mode, in which the front electric motor is always active, the e-SUV becomes a cornering artist. It reacts precisely and agilely even when turning in quickly.
