With the new G70, the design and development teams aimed to create a premium sports sedan of absolute world class. In particular, efforts focused on innovative and flexible design, optimizing interior space, delivering an unmatched premium feel and ensuring best-in-class safety for all occupants. Thanks to the generous use of reinforced fasteners, the new G70 has one of the strongest body structures in its segment. The strategic use of lightweight aluminum for the hood and strut dome struts helps lower the vehicle's center of gravity. In addition, the self-supporting monocoque design requires significantly fewer components for body reinforcement. As with other Genesis models, the robust, reinforced vehicle structure is designed to help ensure the outstanding safety of all occupants. The exceptionally high torsional rigidity of the body has yet another advantage: it enables particularly fine chassis tuning, resulting in excellent ride quality and outstanding driving dynamics. Through the generous use of high-strength steel and aluminum elements to sensibly reduce weight, the engineers achieved the perfect balance between high rigidity and low weight.
