The new Honda Civic is designed to ensure that its powertrain e:HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle), steering and suspension are able to deliver exhilarating performance that ensures stability and driving pleasure, characteristics that have always won over drivers around the world. The result is a car that combines an exhilarating driving experience with highly competitive fuel economy and emissions. Available starting in the fall of 2022, the eleventh-generation Civic is the last model in Honda's lineup to be electrified after the CR-V, Honda e, Jazz, Jazz Crosstar and HR-V. The car will feature the most advanced version of the Tokyo-based automaker's award-winning e:HEV Full Hybrid powertrain, consisting of a high power density lithium-ion battery, two compact and powerful electric motors and a newly designed 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle gasoline engine. The heat engine achieves the highest market standards through 41% thermal efficiency, an optimized direct injection system for faster and more efficient combustion, and increased torque. In addition, several technologies such as a low-temperature active catalytic converter and a modified intake window design are introduced to help provide better fuel economy, but without sacrificing power.
