The new EQE is the second production vehicle based on the EVA2 architecture for luxury and luxury-class electric vehicles. This complete redesign enables the so-called Purpose Design and offers significant advantages in aerodynamics and efficiency. The sporty EQE brings the business sedan concept into the future. It offers all the essential functions of the EQS luxury sedan in a more compact format. This includes the MBUX Hyperscreen as an absolute highlight in the interior. The curved 56-inch screen extends almost across the entire width of the interior and integrates the instrument cluster, infotainment and passenger display in a seamless design. The 12.3-inch OLED display with its own user interface makes travel more varied and entertaining for the front passenger. He can watch dynamic content such as streaming video or TV while driving. The system uses intelligent, camera-based lock logic to detect if the driver is looking at the passenger display. If this is the case, the system automatically dims the dynamic content. Mercedes-Benz is expected to introduce this system in Mercedes EQ vehicles sold in the U.S. later this year.
