At the rear of the sedan, the new, flatter and now split rear lights are immediately noticeable. They now extend into the trunk lid and are optically connected to the top with a decorative strip in high-gloss chrome. On the Estate, this trim extends even further to the end of the outer rear lights. Its shape is unchanged, but has been given a new interior design in the look of the sedan. The spoiler lip on the trunk lid of the sedan is painted in the body color, with the optional AMG Carbon Exterior II package made of carbon. The newly shaped rear apron emphasizes the width and also has a positive effect on the aerodynamics. The rear section is rounded off by the likewise redesigned diffuser
