The new Airline Seat Specification of the Bentayga EWB is the most advanced seat ever fitted to a car. With 22-ways of adjustment, the world’s first auto climate sensing system and advanced postural adjustment technology offers the finest rear accommodation since the Mulsanne. After a rear seat passenger selects their desired temperature from seven different levels, the auto climate seat senses passenger temperature and surface humidity with an accuracy of 0.1°C every 25 milliseconds. The system can then determine whether to apply heat, ventilation or both simultaneously to keep the passenger at optimum thermal wellbeing. Meanwhile, the postural adjustment system automatically makes micro adjustments to the passenger’s seating position and pressure points, using an algorithm developed in collaboration with a chiropractor. The system can apply 177 individual pressure changes across six fully independent pressure zones over a three-hour period improving comfort and minimising fatigue throughout a journey. By subtly changing the shape of the surfaces of the seat over time, no one area of the body endures pressure fatigue for an extended period – meaning the occupant is always comfortable.
The Audi e-tron Sportback - Sporty S line
The S line exterior package makes the sporty genes of the Audi e-tron stand out in particular. The new equipment variant is available to order now and includes 20-inch wheels as well as a sport air suspension. The more strongly contoured bumper is flanked by more expressive and larger air curtains that improve airflow. They extend below the headlights, creating a dynamic image even from a distance. An S line emblem adorns the radiator grille, and the illuminated aluminum door sill trims bear an #S logo. On the e-tron Sportback, the standard spoiler and a striking diffuser at the rear contribute to the outstanding aerodynamics. In contrast to the basic model, the add-on parts of the S line exterior are painted in body color - including wheel arch trim, sills, bumpers and exterior mirrors. In addition, the optional black optics package adds accents in the area of the single frame, on the side windows and the bumper. The exterior mirror caps are also optionally available in black.
Harmony at a glance. To achieve a lively interior, the CUPRA design team combined the latest in technology and sophistication in the use of colours and textures. “We relied on a neutral approach to colour, intensifying the effects and textures with the use of parametric techniques” says Sangalli. Thus, 3D effects have been created on the blue seats, with micro-perforations that reveal the copper colour beneath the surface. “This laser technique enabled us to give movement to the seat. It isn’t a static graphic effect. It shifts, it fades in and out, it seems to expand” adds the designer. Decorative stitching in the same colour on the seats and doors completes the numerous details in the brand’s signature colour.
The ID.4 is Volkswagen’s first all-electric SUV and the brand’s first global EV. Built on Volkswagen’s MEB electric vehicle architecture—the modular electric drive matrix—it marries the strengths of a purpose-built EV with performance, packaging and value, features that have marked the brand for decades. The ID.4 competes in the world’s largest market segment—compact SUVs—and is currently produced in Germany and China; in the future, it will also be assembled in the United States.
