The new SsangYong Korando is now also available with a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine: at prices starting at €22,990, the 120 kW/163 hp entry-level engine can now be ordered with both front-wheel and all-wheel drive, with power transmission handled by a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic. This means that the fourth model generation of the compact SUV now offers even more flexibility, with a choice of two engines and transmissions, five equipment lines and seven paint finishes. The new gasoline engine with turbocharging and direct injection completes the drive portfolio of the new Korando: From a displacement of 1.5 liters, the T-GDi gasoline engine develops 120 kW/163 hp and a maximum torque of 280 Nm, which is available between 1,500 and 4,500 rpm. With the four-cylinder, the compact model consumes 6.8 to 8.3 liters per 100 kilometers, depending on the powertrain and transmission, which corresponds to CO2 emissions of 158 to 190 g/km. As an alternative, the 100 kW/136 hp 1.6 e-XDi diesel engine continues to be offered at prices starting at 25,990 euros: With the powerful four-cylinder, which releases a maximum torque of 320 Nm between 1,500 and 2,500 rpm, the towing capacity climbs to up to two tons. Average consumption, on the other hand, is just 5.0 to 6.5 liters per 100 kilometers with CO2 emissions of 130 to 170 g/km.
