The new Land Rover Defender is a five-star car: The completely new generation of the British all-wheel-drive legend has now been independently confirmed. In the Euro NCAP test, the new Defender 110 received the maximum rating of five stars for crash safety and occupant protection. It is not only the first premium full-size off-road vehicle that achieves the maximum yield of five stars according to the latest Euro NCAP test protocol - it is also the seventh model from Land Rover with the highest safety rating in the current decade. Due to its design, the new Defender has everything a safe car needs: an extremely stable aluminum construction, paired with state-of-the-art safety features and assistance systems. This means that the robust Briton is not only equipped for all challenges on and off the roads, it also offers maximum protection in the event of a fall. The highly developed helpers on board the Defender include, for example, emergency brake assist, lane departure warning and rear collision warning system. Six airbags also protect the driver and passengers in the new Defender, while up to three ISOFIX attachment points offer child seats perfect support. In the independent tests of the latest Euro NCAP program, this adds up to five stars for the new Land Rover Defender - broken down into 85 percent for the protection of adult passengers and children, 79 percent for the supporting safety systems and 71 percent for the safety of unprotected road users, like pedestrians or cyclists
