Highlighting the entire process to craft aftermarket parts, from CAD design, CNC machining, finishing and quality control, the new video also looks at GTO Engineering’s engine building suite as well as restoration of old parts. It also incorporates a range of Ferraris GTO Engineering has been working on and using components supplied by GTO Parts, including a 1964 Ferrari Lusso, a 1974 Ferrari 365 GT4 BB, a 1990 Ferrari F40 and a 2011 599 GTO. GTO Parts supplies a range of aftermarket Ferrari components around the world, from early-Sixties cars to modern day supercars, including limited-run models and GTO editions. GTO Parts was created by founder Mark Lyon in 1996 due to demand for his own restorations at GTO Engineering and market needs from private collector car customers and other specialists.

BMW M GmbH is expanding its ranks of ultra-sporty CS models with the introduction of the BMW M5 CS. The limited-run, exclusive special-edition model treats four people to an extraordinary driving experience and blends standout performance attributes with an exclusive and luxurious appearance. The 4.4-litre V8 engine with 467 kW/635 hp makes the BMW M5 CS the most powerful car in the history of BMW M. Standard features include the eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic and the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system, which also offers a 2WD mode for pure rear-wheel drive. Rigorously applied lightweight design enables a weight saving of some 70 kilograms over the BMW M5 Competition. With retuned bearing springs at the front and rear axle and further refined damper control, the chassis has been adapted to the lower vehicle weight and the increased performance potential of the standard mixed-size Pirelli P Zero Corsa track tyres (front: 275/35 R 20, rear: 285/35 R 20).

Clive Sutton CS850R Preview

High-performance and luxury car specialist Clive Sutton has launched the CS850R, a track-focused version of the UK’s most powerful Mustang. Based on the company’s 859PS (847bhp) CS850GT Mustang, the new model features a series of enhancements that fine-tune the car for spirited on-road and track driving. The most significant upgrade is a new Torsen differential, which optimises mechanical drive from both rear wheels. This enhancement delivers more grip under aggressive acceleration, plus greater feel and finesse when pushing hard, or engaging a power slide. The Sutton team has fine-tuned the final drive gear ratio from 3.55 in the CS850GT to 3.37 in the ‘R’ version to make each gear slightly shorter. This revision makes the car more eager at launch and when pushing out of a corner, while hard acceleration feels faster and more aggressive. In addition to making the Sutton Mustang sharper on track, the enhancements are designed to improve off the line performance with the manual gearbox in mind. The track-tuned CS850R also replaces the Mustang’s MagneRide suspension with Pro Active shocks and linear springs to achieve sharper input and performance when cornering.
