More comfort and convenience and an extra helping of modern technology. That is the upgraded ŠKODA KODIAQ, the largest SUV in the Czech carmaker’s range. At the same time, the newcomer retains the model’s traditional strengths, i.e. a generously roomy interior, a wide range of versions and powertrains and excellent value for money. Presenter Alex Montyro will show you the highlights of the upgraded SUV.
Immendingen test site - Rear Cross Traffic Alert
Immendingen is playing a key role in the development of future mobility: Mercedes-Benz Cars pools global vehicle testing here and develops, among other things, alternative drives such as hybrids and electric vehicles from the EQ product and technology brand continue. At the same time, future assistance systems and automated driving functions will be tested there. The Immendingen Testing and Technology Center (PTZ) was officially opened in September 2018 after a construction period of around three and a half years. Immendingen is located in Baden-Württemberg, 130 kilometers south of Stuttgart and 40 kilometers north of Radolfzell on Lake Constance
The new Toyota RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid can be ordered immediately: The brand's first plug-in hybrid SUV is already available for commercial customers at a monthly leasing rate of 399 euros net. Customers not only benefit from the low 0.5 percent company car tax, the annual maintenance is also included in the monthly rate. The new flagship combines the best of both worlds: purely electric driving with the long range of conventional drives. A powerful 2.5-liter petrol engine meets two electric motors, and with a system output of 225 kW / 306 PS, driving pleasure is guaranteed - also thanks to the intelligent all-wheel drive system AWD-i. Up to 75 kilometers (WLTP cycle) are covered locally emission-free and almost silently - a top value that covers the daily distance of most commuters in Europe.
A number of new technologies optimize the precision and control of the chassis in a wide variety of weather and road conditions. The standard electronic damper control (Electronic Control Suspension, ECS) in the GT-line version increases comfort and safety thanks to the continuous damping control. The system reacts to body movements and steering inputs and changes the damping behavior at lightning speed in order to counteract the vehicle's diving, pitching and rolling movements when cornering. It also adjusts the damping force in the case of obstacles in order to cope with them as comfortably as possible and to reduce the influence of post-vibrations on the wheels. A premiere for the Sportage is the “All-Terrain-Mode”, which will be available for the plug-in hybrid version with all-wheel drive. The system offers intelligent support when driving off-road or on snow by automatically optimizing the vehicle settings depending on the selected mode and thus helping the SUV to achieve maximum traction on muddy, sandy or snowy surfaces.
