The new Audi A3 Sedan - the drives

Source: AutoMotoTV (Glomex)

" The new A3 Sedan has two TFSI engines and one TDI -General at the start. What they all have in common is their high level of efficiency. The 35 TFSI, a 1.5-liter direct injection engine, has an output of 110 kW (150 hp) and is available in two versions - with a newly developed six-speed manual transmission and with a seven-speed S tronic that shifts quickly. In addition to the cylinder on demand technology, the unit uses a 48 volt mild hybrid system in conjunction with the S tronic dual clutch transmission. It recovers energy when decelerating, supports the engine when starting up and accelerating from low speeds with up to 50 Nm torque and lets the A3 sedan coast with the engine switched off in many situations. In everyday driving, this reduces consumption by up to 0.4 liters per 100 kilometers. The 2.0 TDI with 110 kW (150 PS) also works with a seven-speed S tronic, whose gear changes are carried out using a new switch using shift-by-wire technology. "
