"The basic version is followed by the upscale versions "Elegance" and "R-Line". "Elegance" offers an emphatically noble configuration, while "R-Line" focuses more on dynamics. On the outside, both equipment versions score points with individual 18-inch light-alloy wheels, LED headlights including "Light Assist" (automatic main beam function), an animated flashing function of the LED tail lights, and independent front aprons with an extended chrome trim. Inside, the standard equipment is enhanced by seat covers in Alcantara/leather, real wood ("Elegance") or metal applications ("R-Line"), pedal caps in aluminum-look and touch islands in the multifunction steering wheel, among other things. In addition, both equipment versions are supplied with details such as a choice of driving profile, seat heating at the front and "Park Assist" (front and rear). Volkswagen will successively launch further engine/transmission and model variants in the coming months. These include a plug-in hybrid drive for the first time in the Arteon. Its purely electric range is so great that daily distances can be covered locally without emissions. In addition, a new R-model will also be available in the future as a top version in both body variants.
