"Under the name URBAN GUARD, Mercedes-Benz is introducing a new holistic product and special equipment category for all model series. This bundles existing and future offers for protecting the vehicle against vandalism and crime. With URBAN GUARD - an intelligent combination of hardware and digital solutions - Mercedes-Benz is responding to the growing global customer demand for security and protection of property. Two special equipment packages, URBAN GUARD Vehicle Protection and URBAN GUARD Vehicle Protection Plus, are planned from mid 2020. Some URBAN GUARD products will also be available through the Mercedes me Online Store and will be activated at a later date. The two packages URBAN GUARD Vehicle Protection and URBAN GUARD Vehicle Protection Plus, in combination with Mercedes me, allow for the all-round monitoring of the parked vehicle. URBAN GUARD includes a burglary and theft alarm system, a towing protection system with visual and acoustic warning when a change of position is detected, an alarm siren, an interior protection system (triggers when there is movement inside the vehicle) and a pre-equipment for theft and parking collision detection. The vehicle sensors register when the parked and locked vehicle is jostled or towed away - or when someone tries to break into the vehicle. If the service is activated, the driver is then informed via the Mercedes me app. A push message tells him, for example, how badly the parking damage is and in which area of the vehicle. As soon as the vehicle is started again, this information also appears once on the media display.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWN) will present the completely new generation of its Amarok pick-up in 2022, which will be capable of even more both on- and off-road. Designed and conceived in Germany and Australia, built in South Africa, the new Amarok will once again take its place at the top of the pick-up B segment with excellent specification, a greatly expanded array of driver assist features and a much larger range of drive systems than its predecessor. A first few disguised models of the new Amarok are already out and about in Europe. The all-rounder's innovative, premium design is both typical of the Amarok and has at the same time been redefined. A powerful, charismatic exterior meets here with a high-quality interior. Despite the disguise, it is already possible to identify how the dimensions have changed: at a good 5,350 mm the new model is at least 100 mm longer than its predecessor. A wheelbase of 3,270 mm equates to an increase of 175 mm – as a result there is more space in the double cab. The payload is also increasing to up to 1.2 tonnes and an imperious maximum towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes is now possible across more engine/gearbox variants. As the wheelbase of the new Amarok is growing more than its total length, the bodywork overhangs are getting smaller. And that has a positive effect on the off-road capability. The off-road capabilities of the new Amarok are further perfected by a significantly greater fording depth for driving through waters than its predecessor.
Travel relaxed with active cruise control, without having to manually adapt to the driving speed of the vehicle in front, already available in cars for many years, but not in motorcycles to date. However, with Active Cruise Control (ACC), BMW Motorrad will soon offer this type of driver assistance system, thus providing motorcyclists with a completely new and comfortable driving experience.
