"The Palace of Versailles and the local council have been staunch supporters of horse riding for years," shares the director of the Equestrian Club of Versailles with AFP.
Echoing this sentiment, the city's mayor emphasizes, "Hosting the Olympic equestrian events here is a poignant tribute, a means of reigniting the rich tapestry of horse riding history that permeates Versailles."
