49-euro ticket: Why some people get the Deutschlandticket even cheaper

In one week, on May 1, the Deutschlandticket will be launched. For a price of 49 euros, passengers will then be able to use public transport throughout Germany. But for some citizens, the ticket will be even cheaper with subsidies. Employees of the state of Schleswig-Holstein, for example, can look forward to a discount of 16.55 euros. Other companies and municipalities also want to offer the ticket at a reduced price - but this is not being met with enthusiasm everywhere, for example by the Taxpayers' Association.
