Scooter Braun has publicly distanced himself from Kanye West because the rapper made antisemitic remarks: "I don't know him anymore". "The person I knew was not someone who says such things," Braun said on the show "Question Everything" with Danielle Robay. "I think the hardest part is to mourn someone while they are still here. I don't know him and I think right now I have three wonderful children who need a father who focuses on them and ensures they are prepared and strong in this world and that will be my focus," said Scooter Braun. When asked if West is "reachable," Braun simply replied, "I don't know." "I have no ill will and no interest in turning into the monster they expect," he said about antisemitic hatred and explained that he prefers to focus on "positives" and honor his Jewish heritage. Braun briefly managed West from 2016 to 2018, but their professional relationship ended years before West's antisemitic outbursts began in 2022. The initial controversy led to West losing major brand deals, including Adidas and Balenciaga. Since then, he has apologized but continues to publish hate speech online.
