In Arche-Dorf Kleinwendern, in the Bavarian Fichtelgebirge, animal love is paramount. Coburger Fuchsschafe, Rotes Höhenvieh, and Pommernente - they have all found a home here. The nearly 80 residents take care of 11 endangered livestock breeds with 215 animals. The animals are kept not only on farms but also in the gardens of Kleinwenderners. There are only two Arche-Villages in Germany: Kleinwendern and Steinlah in Lower Saxony.
