The British Princess Anne visited Ukraine to show her support for children and families affected by the war. The 75-year-old royal daughter met with President Zelensky in Kyiv to discuss further UK support for Ukraine. Anne paid her respects to children killed since the start of the war in February 2022 at a memorial site and laid down a toy with the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Selenska. She also met displaced children and visited a rehabilitation center for wounded veterans returning from the front lines. Kyiv estimates that at least 19,500 children have been deported or displaced to areas controlled by Russia since the start of the war. Her visit follows new UK sanctions against those involved in the deportation and indoctrination of Ukrainian children. During a recent visit by President Donald Trump to the UK, King Charles expressed his support for the Ukrainian cause, saying, "The allies stand together behind Ukraine." Prince Harry also recently visited Kyiv with his Invictus Games Foundation to support the rehabilitation of wounded soldiers.
