The death of Fritz Wepper in March has left deep wounds. The actor was a fixture in German television for decades, known for roles in 'Derrick' and 'Um Himmels Willen'. He passed away on March 25, just five months after his brother Elmar. About two and a half weeks later, he was buried in the family grave in Munich. Among the mourners was his longtime friend Bernd Herzsprung. Herzsprung, himself a well-known actor, misses his friend very much. In an interview at a birthday party, he said that the two had been close friends for over 50 years and had stayed in touch until the end. He talks about how much the loss weighs on him and that he needs distraction. Herzsprung was accompanied by his two daughters at the funeral. Other companions like Ottfried Fischer also bid farewell in a separate memorial service.
