Cars and carport on fire - property damage of more than 100,000 euros

Bammental: A fire broke out in a carport in Bammental Reilsheim early Tuesday morning at around 00:25. When the fire department arrived, the carport and two cars parked inside were already fully engulfed in flames. Another vehicle parked outside was slightly damaged. The fire department quickly had the fire under control and extinguished it at around 01:00. Luckily for the carpentry workshop, the fire did not spread completely to the adjacent building. Despite the heavy smoke, no one was injured. The damage caused is estimated at around 100,000 euros. The exact cause of the fire is still unclear and the police have started further investigations.
