Good news at the beginning of the new year, also from an economic point of view: According to the current forecast of the International Monetary Fund, the outlook in many of the countries is "less gloomy" than thought. This was recently announced by IMF chief economist Pierre-Oliver Gourinchas. In his latest assessment from the trading floor, stock market correspondent Mick Knauff reports on which factors could have such a positive impact on the economic performance of countries that even the previously forecast global recession could be averted and which global challenges still need to be dealt with. He also explains how the economy in Germany could develop. Image: Depositphotos / rafapress
