The story is what some like to call 'faction.' All historical data given in the plot are proven or correspond to current research in borderline areas. However, the sometimes somewhat coarser web of proven data leaves some room for flourishing imagination. Central is the idea that the magnetizer Franz-Anton Mesmer, a favorite of Josef II, believes to have created the genius Mozart through his art.
