The new Genesis G90 - Comfortable and superior driving performance

Source: AUTOMOTOTV (Glomex)

The G90 is equipped with a 380-hp 3.5-liter turbo gasoline engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. A water-cooled intercooler improves responsiveness under acceleration, and the dual-fuel injection system optimizes efficiency. A new feature is the "Chauffeur" brake mode, which allows braking force to be controlled. It is one of three integrated braking modes that the driver can use depending on preferences and driving conditions. The new chassis provides a smoother ride and better handling characteristics. Part of the system is the Preview Electronic Control Suspension (Preview-ECS), which uses a front camera and data from the navigation system to detect current road conditions and adjust the suspension accordingly. Additional driving stability is provided by the multi-chamber air suspension. Three settings are possible depending on driving conditions. At high speeds, the air suspension lowers the vehicle to reduce drag, lower fuel consumption and provide a more stable ride. When driving on rough or uneven surfaces, the function raises the vehicle to protect the underbody and reduce vibrations. It also allows the vehicle height to remain at a certain level regardless of weight changes caused by passengers or luggage. In addition, the air suspension adjusts to road conditions to more comfortably handle bumps, ramps and other uneven surfaces. Again, the system uses information from the front camera and navigation system. The G90 also features rear-wheel steering (RWS). At low speeds, the rear wheels are turned up to four degrees in the opposite direction to the front wheels, and at high speeds, up to two degrees in the same direction. This makes it easier to maneuver in tight spaces, reduces the turning radius, and at the same time improves cornering stability and handling when changing lanes or avoiding obstacles at medium and high speeds.
