Winter on the march - more than a third of European drivers not prepared

With the end of summer time, the cold season is getting closer and closer. Many motorists in Europe are not (yet) prepared for winter driving conditions and shorter days. This is the result of Nissan in a recently published survey. More than a third of the European drivers surveyed (36 percent) feel poorly or insufficiently prepared for driving in winter. More than a quarter (27 percent) do not understand or use the automotive assistance and safety functions, which offer additional protection not only in wintry road conditions. If the clocks are set back, more drivers will be out in the dark or at dusk - especially commuters. This worries more than half of European drivers: 55 percent are nervous when driving in winter. 45 percent even wish that they had been taught how to drive correctly in bad weather. Anyone traveling in a modern vehicle like the Nissan Qashqai is on the safe side, however: the compact crossover SUV comes with numerous assistance and safety systems that support the driver in everyday life and defuse dangerous driving situations
