The new ŠKODA FABIA is based for the first time on the Volkswagen Group's Modular Transverse Toolkit MQB-A0 and surpasses its predecessors in all dimensions, with virtually no change in weight. It has grown in length by 111 millimeters to 4,108 millimeters and is the first FABIA to exceed the four-meter mark. The wheelbase is 94 millimeters longer at 2,564 millimeters, while the width of the fourth generation has increased by 48 millimeters to 1,780 millimeters. The increased dimensions provide even more space for passengers. ŠKODA has also significantly increased the trunk capacity, which was already the largest in the segment for the predecessor, by another 50 liters to 380 liters. With the rear seats folded down, the luggage compartment can hold 1,190 liters. The new FABIA is available in a total of nine colors, including the new Phoenix Orange and Graphite Grey metallic paint finishes. Graphite gray metallic and Magic black pearl effect are also available as contrasting paint finishes for the roof, exterior mirror caps and alloy wheels as part of the color concept. Graphite grey is also used as a contrast paint for the frame of the ŠKODA grille. A panoramic glass roof is also available as an option.
