The Ferrari SF90 Stradale Assetto Fiorano has set the fastest lap recorded by a production car on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway's 3.925-kilometer road course. It circled the track in an impressive 1:29.625 seconds with a top speed of 281 km/h. "It was just great to see the Ferrari SF90 Stradale set that lap record on July 15 with its impressive performance, said Mark Raffauf, senior director of race operations at the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA), which oversaw the test. The new Ferrari SF90 Stradale is the most powerful Cavallino Fiampante ever and the first production PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle). This new model is extreme in every way and represents a real paradigm shift, offering unprecedented performance for a production vehicle. Figures such as 1,000 hp, a power-to-weight ratio of 1.57 kg/hp and 390 kg of downforce at 250 km/h not only put the SF90 Stradale at the top of its segment, but also show that for the first time in the history of the brand, a V8 is the top model.

The architecture of the modular electric drive system (MEB) on which the compact electric SUVs from Audi are based enables a completely new division of space. The technology components need only a little space: The high-voltage battery pack is designed as a flat block underneath the passenger compartment, while the drive unit is located in a compact arrangement on the rear axle – and on the front axle in the quattro models. The short front section houses the radiator, the electric brake booster and major components of the air-conditioning system.
