We are all big fans of the sun, and if there were a place where the sun shines all year round, many of us would move there immediately. While that's not possible, if you're looking for a place where the sun shines most of the time, the first city on your list should be Malaga in Spain. Located on the Costa Del Sol, Málaga was ranked first on the list of sunniest travel destinations in Europe by the online rental search engine Holidu. Holidu used data from 2009 to 2014 from World Weather Online and found that Málaga has 280.2 hours of sunshine per month. This equates to about 3,000 hours of sunshine per year and a monthly average temperature of 65.8ºF. According to the University of Málaga, there are 50 days of rainfall per year, and the average winter temperature is 63ºF. Alicante and Murcia in Spain are also very sun-drenched, and ten of the top 30 cities on Holidu's list are in Italy.
