The new Jeep Compass - autonomous driving Level 2

Source: AutoMotoTV (Glomex)

The new Compass is the first Jeep in Europe to offer autonomous driving Level 2 and comes standard with the latest generation of driver assistance systems. These include: Traffic Sign Recognition, Intelligent Speed Assist, Drowsiness Detection and Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection that slows the vehicle to a stop. The biggest new feature, however, is Highway Assist, a combination of adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning that automatically adjusts the vehicle's speed and lane keeping. As a result, the Compass automatically stays in the middle of the lane, at an appropriate distance from the vehicle in front (available in the second half of the year). New Jeep Compass offers a choice of five trim levels - Sport, Longitude, Limited, S and Trailhawk - with five different powertrain combinations of gasoline, diesel or plug-in hybrid engines, three transmissions (six-speed manual, dual-clutch automatic or six-speed torque converter automatic), and front- or four-wheel drive.
