The Land Rover Defender: unstoppable and equipped for any task. Now the robust British off-roader is saddling up once again. For the upcoming model year 2022, the Defender V8 will appear with a superior supercharged eight-cylinder gasoline engine that transmits an impressive 386 kW (525 hp) to the traditionally four driven wheels. On the other hand, the new top version Defender V8 Carpathian Edition rounds off the already wide range upwards - paired with a chassis tuning tailored to the lush drive power. In addition, Land Rover is giving its all-rounder, which was successfully launched on the world markets last year, the new Defender XS Edition special model in 2022, as well as three new design packages and a further optimized Pivi Pro infotainment system including an optional new 11.4-inch touchscreen. This means that Defender customers will be spoilt for choice more than ever in the future: the range includes the 90, 110 and Hard Top model versions, a wealth of equipment variants and options, and on the engine side, in addition to the new V8, other modern gasoline and diesel engines - plus a plug-in hybrid with a purely electric range of around 53 kilometers. Recommended retail prices for the Defender 90 start at exactly 52,700 euros, while the Defender 110 is available from 55,600 euros. The new Defender V8 is available from 117,660 euros. The 2022 model year models are available to order in Germany now and, depending on the model, will be available from June.
