On the fortieth anniversary of its last race, the Scorpion brand is paying homage to it with the Abarth 695 Tributo 131 Rally special series. This limited edition will be available in just 695 units throughout the globe. The latest version of this top-of-the-range model is a tribute to Abarth’s racing history. In fact, competitions have always been part of its DNA and, thanks to the technological "transfer", the most innovative solutions - tested on the track to increase performance and reliability - are adopted on normal production cars, ensuring an adrenaline-filled driving experience. Therefore, the new Abarth special edition is an authentic concentration of technology under the banner of the brand's founding values: Performance and Style. The Abarth 695 Tributo 131 Rally is equipped with a 1.4 T-jet engine which supplies 180 HP and 250 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm. The maximum speed is 225 km/h and the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes place in just 6.7 seconds. It also contains Koni FSD shock absorbers on both axles and a dedicated braking system which includes aluminum Brembo calipers and 4 pistons on the front and 305 mm and 240 mm ventilated discs on the rear.

A new Rolls-Royce motor car always begins its life in winter. Temperatures at the Bespoke facility used by the marque, located in Arjeplog, Sweden, just 55km from the arctic circle, drop to -26 degrees centigrade and are further cooled to -40 degrees centigrade. There are several reasons for subjecting the marque’s products to such extremes. When the first prototypes are built, engineers perform very basic tests in extreme conditions to ensure that each system is operational and functions at a basic level in a cold weather environment. This test is combined with the beginnings of the refinement process – the first ‘lessons’ in a finishing school that will form the foundations of a motor car worthy of the marque.

A number of new technologies optimize the precision and control of the chassis in a wide variety of weather and road conditions. The standard electronic damper control (Electronic Control Suspension, ECS) in the GT-line version increases comfort and safety thanks to the continuous damping control. The system reacts to body movements and steering inputs and changes the damping behavior at lightning speed in order to counteract the vehicle's diving, pitching and rolling movements when cornering. It also adjusts the damping force in the case of obstacles in order to cope with them as comfortably as possible and to reduce the influence of post-vibrations on the wheels. A premiere for the Sportage is the “All-Terrain-Mode”, which will be available for the plug-in hybrid version with all-wheel drive. The system offers intelligent support when driving off-road or on snow by automatically optimizing the vehicle settings depending on the selected mode and thus helping the SUV to achieve maximum traction on muddy, sandy or snowy surfaces.
